Climate Change is still being debated?

Call me a crazy liberal if you want to, but I have a problem when a supposedly "educated" person wants to argue that global warming and climate change is maybe not man made.  Can she be serious? Or is it simply that she makes gobs of money if she believes this lie?

Need some relief?

I have to say that all this Palin talk has me a little fatigued.  Thank god my good friend Megan Mack was there for the rescue.  Today she sent me the link to the hilarious blog of Sara Benincasa, who has made her version of the Sara Palin video blogs.  If you too are over the media coverage of this lunatic, these "vlogs" will help immensely!  Start with Vlog number one and follow with the next eight in order.

John Derian for TARGET. Can this be True?

Isn't target the BEST?  If Target was a person it might just be my best friend.  It always offers me cheap fabulous things and is getting more cutting edge each day.  Just today I found the only pair of skinny jeans that have ever looked decent on me and they were only $19.99!
I thought I couldn't be more wowed, after they added Dwell to their list of home designers.  But with John Derian in the mix, I am just floored.

If you've never heard of the man you're in for a treat.  He has a thing for decoupage plates and although that doesn't sound cool, just check out his site.  No doubt you've seen his stuff in Anthropologie or even Neiman Marcus.  Great but pricey.  UNTIL NOW.  His line for target debuts 9/7/2008.  So mark your calendars, we all know how fast the good stuff goes!

(Friday, Saturday, and) Sunday in the Park...

Just a few short words about my exciting upcoming weekend.  I am headed down to SF to get the full experience (all 3 days) of the Outside Lands Festival.

What should turn out to be an awesome fest of music from such favorites of mine: Beck, Vampire Weekend, Ben Harper, Toots and the Maytals, the Stars and many many more.  I will try to post some pics on Monday.  At the moment I am missing my camera, so that may be tough.  Can't wait to see those of you I plan to meet up with at the event!!!  If you want to feel jealous check out the full line up.

A GREEN start

Well, this is it.  I never thought I had enough to say to start my own fancy blog.  However, I keep thinking of all these events, shows, movies, food, and ideas I want to share.  I felt this was probably the best way to do so.  Let's see how long this lasts.  I aspire to one day be more than just a list of cool things I like.  But for now...

I will start this list off right, with something GREEN, since that is the buzz word of today.  Although I am happy this idea has become so popular, I truly hope that we don't burn ourselves out on such a simply brilliant idea.

If you haven't already seen, The Green, on Sundance Channel, then I suggest you tune in.  This segment airs weekly and hosts a whole range of shows on earth friendly subjects.  Specifically, the show, Big Ideas for a Small Planet, is my fav.  Each week presents a new theme on how to better ourselves in green.  Everything from home construction, water preservation, to eating organic has been covered so far.  I love that although these topics seem dull, the show never is.  It's also a plus when so many of the subjects happen to be in my backyard of Northern California.  Kinda makes me feel like I'm in the right place.

Couldn't find a decent schedule of when the green actually aires.  I have Tivo, so I cheat.  But checkout THE GREEN for more info.  Enjoy!
